Data deletion — ilmWriter

Delete your whole account

Email [email protected] from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We'll confirm the request, and delete your account and data within 30 days.

Before you ask, download anything you want to keep from Preview & Export. Deletion can't be undone.

Cancel any paid plan first in Settings → Billing, so you aren't charged again.

What gets deleted

Your profile, books, chapters, outlines, notes, research, uploaded files and images, covers, coach conversations, invitations and comments, book pages and reader lists, and connected social accounts.

Copies in backups are removed within 90 days. We keep billing records for as long as tax law requires, and books already published to a store or to ilmVault stay there until you remove them in that service.

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X

To stop ilmWriter using a social account, open a book → Promote → Brands and choose Disconnect. We delete that account's stored access token straight away. Posts already published stay on the network; delete them there.

You can also remove ilmWriter from the network's own settings: on Facebook, Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations; on Instagram, Settings → Apps and websites; on LinkedIn, Settings → Data privacy → Permitted services; on X, Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions.

To delete the data we stored from a social account (its name, ID and the record of posts published through ilmWriter), email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my social data" and the account name. We'll confirm when it's done, within 30 days.

Delete only part of your data

You can delete a book, chapter, note, uploaded file, reader contact or invitation yourself in the app at any time. Deleted items are removed from backups within 90 days.
